Joss Gray

Joss Gray

Joss Gray - BHSI and BE Accredited Trainer. Joss was brought up in Zambia and Luxembourg and has trained internationally including the Indonesian National Team which won a Bronze medal at the South East Asia Games in Malaysia in 2001. Started riding from the age of 3 in my quite village of marshland st james wesbech where i come from a very equine family background, i had a very keen ambition to join the household cavalry from an early age now 27 been in the cavalry for 8 years where i am now a military and civilian riding instuctor where i am responsible for the breaking in and training of all horses and men i am also incharge of training horses to lie down for the world famous musical ride where i am also second in command for equitation for both men and horses at a level required to perform in front of royality , in my spare time i also instruct civilians at a number of riding schools

Harry Meade

Harry Meade

Harry Meade is one of Britain's leading event riders. Based in the quiet village of West Littleton, on the Wiltshire/South Gloucestershire border, he has built up a good string of horses from novice to advanced level and is supported by an enthusiastic team of owners. A former Junior British team member, Harry has made a major impact at senior level since 2002. In 2006 and 2007 he was fourth in the Senior National Championships at Gatcombe and his consistent successes at four-star level (the highest level) have established him as a recognised face in the top echelon of international competition. Harry has recorded his best ever result at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials, finishing 10th with his long-time partner Midnight Dazzler, who at 19, has become the oldest horse ever to complete the event.

Richard

Major Dicky Waygood

Major Richard Waygood, has ridden from an early age. At 16 he realised an ambition to join the Household Cavalry (The Life Guards) and was later commissioned from the ranks to hold the highly prestigious and respected post of Riding Master for the Household Cavalry. In 2002 he realised another life long ambition to ride around Badminton not only did he finish clear but also inside the top 20. He was the first serving officer of the British Army to compete at Badminton for 25 years. Richard has competed a further three times at Badminton. He is also a top Event Rider a British Eventing accredited trainer, holds the BHS award of merit and is the Chef d'Equipe for the Two Star European Eventing Championships and was recently nominated for the Queens Award for outstanding contribution to the equine world.

Phil

Phil Meadows

Cool Hooves Polo is run by Phil Meadows, a professional HPA Coach who has played polo for over ten years. His open and friendly approach to teaching, coupled with his passion for polo, has inspired countless students to become polo "junkies".

"Sports that are a challenge have always been my thing. During the late 70's, 80's and the early 90's, windsurfing, waterskiing, snowboarding and mountain biking occupied work life and the whole universe for me. I was an instructor in all these sports and was swept up in their magic. Then along came polo, I fell in love again and Cool Hooves Polo was born."

Graeme

Graeme Innes

Graeme Innes is the Equitation Instructor, Kings Troop Barracks St. Johns Wood. He started riding from the age of 2 in Musseleurgh, Scotland and has spent most of his saddle time hunting, show jumping and on cross-country. He has been in the army for 19 years and is responsible for over 100 horses in the Kings Troop Regiment. Very passionate about his job, Graeme enjoys working with the skilled Troop horses and teaching both the army staff and civilian riders.

Diana

Diana Johnson

With over forty seasons' experience of riding with nearly a hundred different packs of hounds, Diana is well qualified to explain the thrills and hazards of crossing the famous wolds and vales of The Shires. With this breadth of experience, Diana has also built up a dedicated following for her ability to teach cross country riding, and inspiring confidence on horseback.

Aidan

Aidan O'Connell

Aidan O'Connell began a serious career in show jumping aged 16, and trained with many international instructors. He has competed Grade A (highest level) show jumpers and was successful at all the major international horse shows in Ireland, and won the Dublin Horse Show on his famous little horse "Suntan". In 1969 Aidan trained and rode his first steeplechase winner, and in subsequent years went on to compete in over 150 races including the formidable English Grand National at Aintree. These days, Aidan hunts almost every day of the season, both in Ireland and abroad. He is continually training young horses and riders, and sourcing talented young horses for his extensive overseas clientele. Aidan's cross country clinics emphasize safety in the hunt field and cross country jumping by improving balance and building confidence. He teaches clinics in Ireland, Germany, and the United States.

Magda

Magda Dysli

Magda Dysli owns and runs her own riding centre in Andalucia, and teaches advanced riders in Spanish High Dressage, known as Doma Vaquera. A great believer in Horse Whispering, Magda, and her daughter Kenzie, dedicate themselves to the welfare and understanding of their exceptional horses.

Vieri

Vieri Antinori

Vieri Antinori was born on a farm in Argentina where he still lives with his family. He started playing polo when he was very young with his brothers and friends, and after several polo seasons playing in Buenos Aires he became a professional polo player. His first job was in Palm Beach Florida, USA in 2000 where he stayed for two years before travelling to Italy and Spain. In 2003 he came to the UK to play the British Open (Gold Cup) and the following year, played the high goal season (Queen's and Gold Cup). Since then he has been playing the UK polo season every year. This is his first year giving polo lessons regulary.

Tomas

Tomas Morixe

Tomas has been involved with horses all his life, and started playing polo when he was 18 and became hooked instantly. Since then, he has played several tournaments in different clubs in Argentina. For the last few years he has been giving lessons and playing practice chukkers, and this is his first year doing it in the UK which he very much enjoys.

Minette

Minette Rice-Edwards

Minette Rice-Edwards’ teaching has evolved from her wide equestrian experience.  She’s successfully competed in dressage, showing, show jumping, eventing, endurance, flat and jump racing, in the US and UK.  She has insights gained from teaching over 10,000 lessons and an approach that draws on the Alexander Technique.  Unusually, for a teacher of her expertise, she works with ordinary horses and everyday riders.  Through her DVDs, clinics and lessons, she brings her unique understanding of the art of riding to a wide and appreciative audience of novice through to expert riders.
